T is measured in 1/8 inch, representing the diameter of the lamp tube, and T5 is 5/8 inch, which is about 16mm. F14W represents the wattage of 14W, and 840 represents the color temperature of 4000K.
It is the basic specification of the fluorescent tubes that each suppliers normally offer.
