What is IP rate? IP rate defined the degree of protection, according to the international standard IEC 60529 (EN 60529).
The standard regulated the Item's ability protection provided against the solid objects, dust and liquid water.
The rating consists of the letters IP followed by two digits.
The first digit the protection level of solid object such as tools, fingers, or dust.

| 0 | No protection. |
| 1 | Protected against solid objects above 50mm diameter. |
| 2 | Protected against solid objects above 12mm diameter. |
| 3 | Protected against solid objects above 2.5mm diameter. |
| 4 | Protected against solid objects above 1mm diameter. |
| 5 | Protected from the amount of dust, no harmful deposits. |
| 6 | Totally protected. |
The second digit indicates the protection of the liquid water.

| 2 | Protected against falling water drops up to 15 degrees. |
| 3 | Protected against spraying water up to 60 degrees such as rain. |
| 4 | Protected against splashing water. |

| 6 | Protected against high pressure jets of water from all directions |
| 7 | Protected against the effects of immersion In water at 1m for 30 minutes. |
